FNM deck help

Deck Help forum

I have decided to try a FNM. But all my decks are casual and while they do reliably win against other casual decks, I don't know how they would do.

So I need some help making a budget deck ($30 or under) that would at least not get run over instantly. The shop says casual legacy... I was thinking of tokens, RDW or infect. My preferred would be infect and secondly RDW but I know some players don't like it.

Any help would be awesome.

What is the FNM format, 'casual legacy'?

Run burn. If you just skip Goblin Guide , Vexing Devil , and Chain Lightning , you can build it on the cheap. All lands can be Mountains. You have access to tons of 3+ damage spells for 1-2 mana; Shard Volley , Rift Bolt , Lava Spike , Fireblast (assuming it won't be hardcast), Flame Rift , Bolt, and more. Grim Lavamancer and Keldon Marauders should be in your creatures. Spark Elemental and Hellspark Elemental are all right, but mainly they're cheap. If you load up on the elementals, Teetering Peaks can be good friends with them. Depending on how casual it is, you might be able to get away with goofiness like Ball Lightning , Hell's Thunder , or Kiln Fiend .

If you are doing red burn, Spark Elemental is always a cheap fun alternative to Ball Lightning
