I'm planning to make some kind of deck that would fit the Modern format and that I could play casually, with few rules in mind. Since I'm no expert on the cards you guys can help.

Okay, onto the deck I kind of want build a deck that's a White/Red Aggro deck with Humans as the main force on the battlefield.

That out of the way some rules I've set are these: I can only spend about 20-30 on the cards and I don't want to play with too many Rare or Mythic Rare cards. So about 2 to 3 Rares should be enough for the deck.

With the new Theros set out, I noticed the Cavalry Pegasus which grants Flying to attacking Humans. This is a pretty good card that would fit my idea of the deck. I haven't decided on other cards yet.

Champion of the Parish is the go-to guy for aggro human. hes a rare but hes only like 2$ a pop

Going to be making a list of possible cards then. Champion of the Parish seems to fit. Isn't there some Human Token generator card that's not rare?

You are looking for a budget mono-white humans deck :)

These are some of the cards to watch for: Champion of the Parish , Honor of the Pure , Elite Inquisitor , Elite Vanguard , Path to Exile , Oblivion Ring , Wrath of God , Gideon Jura and Squadron Hawk .

They are not too expensive and are very funny to play. Hope this helps.

I won't be playing something like Gideon Jura soon, since I kinda dislike using Mythic rare cards in my decks. So the following for the rares: Champion of the Parish , Elite Inquisitor , Wrath of God also, I picked Elite Vanguard , Oblivion Ring and Squadron Hawk for the others. I want to focus on Common/Uncommon for the next cards.

Unruly Mob , Attended Knight , Elder Cathar & Boros Elite seem to all fit well. Would there be anything else in the Instant/Sorcery/Enchantment section by any chance that would help this?

Mentor of the Meek is great too.

Forgot to list one in the last comment Captain's Call . Hmm.. Mentor does not seem to fit since I don't want to run out of cards to draw. ;) I probably need another token generator card for this to work well.

Gather the Townsfolk will serve you well.

That's exactly the kind of card this deck needs. The more creatures I can spam on the field the better.

Wall of Omens seems to be pretty good but I don't know does it work for an aggressive deck made for spamming attackers?

Splashing red for Norin the Wary does alot of mischief behind Mentor of the Meek and Champion of the Parish . Also don't forget your white staple spells, Brave the Elements as a instant speed swiss army knife, and Path to Exile as your one mana instant speed "oxyclean" creature removal.

Brave the Elements looks like a solid deal. I don't know about letting my opponent draw extra lands from the deck to the battlefield. Seems too risky. (Path to Exile )

Journey to Nowhere sounds much better than Path to Exile . Added to deck..

Hero of Bladehold is pretty good for humans, same as Hero of Oxid Ridge . Instead of Journey to Nowhere (since you don't like Path to Exile ), Banisher Priest or Fiend Hunter might be better creatures since they are humans. Silverblade Paladin bonded to a Champion of the Parish might leave opponents faces Disfigure d. Thalia, Guardian of Thraben hoses down control. If you don't like Silverblade Paladin , then Mirran Crusader is the way to go. When i ran humans, i put in the swords, specifically: Sword of Fire and Ice , Sword of War and Peace , and Sword of Light and Shadow . The swords were really useful, though a bit mana intensive at times.

Okay, Silverblade Paladin is good even though I have a little bit of a Rare limitation (Max 5 or so). I need to debate if I want to get Sword of Fire and Ice . You know, in order that I have the money required to buy the common cards too since they should be the soul of this deck.

look through my standard deck http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/attack-of-the-flying-humans/ for good cards. some of my personal favorites are Boros Elite , Ethereal Armor , Fencing Ace , and Hopeful Eidolon

I already have Boros Elite on my list. Fencing Ace seems good. Ethereal armor seems good but I don't really know if I want to spend too many card slots on spells rather than creatures as those are the most important part of this.

Okay, I made the deck list. I probably have to acquire most of the cards unless I spot some on my scattered collection.
