Esper GatecrashI would really like some suggestions in general but specifically about these things:
Dimir Charm - How strong is it and is it better than Azorius Charm ?
Nightveil Specter - Is it worth it?
Obzedat, Ghost Council - Should I play 4/ what is the magic number for legendary creatures?
card:Runechanter's Pike - I really like this card but I don't know if I can fit in
How many shocklands is too many?
Any other suggestions people have (i.e overlooked cards or manabase issues) will be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
Nightveil Specter is a guy I think you'll have to build around, using some Chromatic Lanterns and other ways of mana fixing.

Nightveil Specter is amazing. Ow your top card is a land? Yeah, thanks, I'll have that. I wouldn't ever really have 4 of with legendary creatures, you never want more than one in a hand. But it depends how much your strategy revolves around the card, if you have to have it then 4 ofs. With Obzedat, Ghost Council I would really consider running some flicker like Cloudshift . Aaaand, what exactly does your deck do on T1? I'd find something to play on your first turn, Index at the very least.

You will need the full suite of Chromatic Lantern s to make Nightveil Specter work the way he is intended. I am actually in the process of building a 5-color specter deck right now :3. With only being esper, he is nothing more than some sweet tech against the mirror.
Dimir Charm isn't as good as Azorius Charm . for 1, it doesn't counter much, Geist of Saint Traft has hexproof, and i guess it's last ability goes good with the mechanic, or reanimation, but it doesn't offer much outside of that.

Thrull Parasite is an extort card you can drop on your first turn.

Nightveil Specter is cool in theory, but I doubt you will ever have the many to cast any of your opponent's spells. And the mill seems negligible.
