I am going to GP Richmond and I am planning on playing Modern Burn Deck Wins. I need help taking it to the super competitive level. I have a few months to gather up the cards I need to play so right now I am play testing liberally with proxies changing my deck all the time. I want to know if my sideboard is strong enough.

Blood Moon - works well against Jund, American Control, Urzatron, and any deck that needs specific lands to run

Wear / Tear - works well against Affinity, and most importantly, Leyline of Sanctity

Flames of the Blood Hand - works well against Malira Pod, infinite life, and any life gain type decks

Surgical Extraction - works well against any combo based deck that needs a specific card to win the game, like Splinter Twin, Malira Pod, and Storm

Torpor Orb - works well against Splinter Twin, Malira Pod, and any ETB based deck

Now onto the card I do not know if I should include in the sideboard:

Shattering Spree - only useful against Affinity, but is very effective. I already have Wear / Tear to get rid of pesky artifacts but It is only one artifact. Is Ratchet Bomb or Pyroclasm better?

Blood Moon is less useful than you might think. There's often an over-reliance on bringing it in because of the perceived notion of how it shuts down other decks, but this isn't always the case. For instance, Tron can still accelerate and drop a Wurmcoil Engine on you. If you're in the market for land disruption, Molten Rain is my pick. You don't need to shut down the game with Blood Moon only disrupt for a turn or 2 and Molten Rain does that and pushes your goal.

Flames of the Blood Hand is a fine card that even see some mainboard play in burn, but just to point out that many of the infinite life combos won't care about it. They can just do it infinite more times in response.

Surgical Extraction storm yes, Pod maybe, but unless you've found some way to disrupt them this isn't going to help a ton against Twin. There combo elements don't really hit the yard.

Torpor Orb and Shattering Spree are both fine cards.

Grafdigger's Cage is another on to consider against Pod decks since it stops both the presist and Chord of Calling and it has other utility against a few more decks. Just don't make the mistake of bringing it in against Living End since the wording gets around it.

How does Grafdigger's Cage react with Chord of Calling ? It says to put it into play, not cast it.

It's the first part that prevent it. Creature cards can't enter the battlefield from graveyards or libraries. So this stops all their tutoring with Chord of Calling and Birthing Pod until they deal with it.
