deck looks sweet brotha'..i advise using lot of undying' so cards like Undying EvilMTG Card: Undying Evil would be awesome.. exception to GravecrawlerMTG Card: Gravecrawler..

I understand that this is a combo deck and will not function perfectly every time.

That being said, I am finding that even though my mana base fits the wheel perfectly, I am having early-game color issues. Any ideas how to fix my early game mana base?

I'd go with a 3rd dragonskull summit in place of a mountain.

Also you may consider Darkslick ShoresMTG Card: Darkslick Shores x2 over an island and a swamp. It is pretty hard to get your mana base right for a 3 color deck. Just keep working at it tweaking one or two lands at a time. typically when i'm trying to get my mana base perfect I'll spend some time playtesting it over and over again. Then change one or two lands and do it again all the time observing by what turn I have stabilized the mana situation. Tbh it is probably the most difficult aspect of making a strong 3 color deck.

@olowleye

Undying doesn't trigger Burning VengeanceMTG Card: Burning Vengeance. Undying puts the creature back into play, you aren't 'casting' the creature from the graveyard, or from anywhere at all.

The only creatures (in T2) that will trigger it are Skaab RuinatorMTG Card: Skaab Ruinator, GravecrawlerMTG Card: Gravecrawler, and cards targeted by Havengul LichMTG Card: Havengul Lich. (Unless I am forgetting one from DKA)

I think your better off without Burning VengeanceMTG Card: Burning Vengeance, sure it gets a 'little' better but Burning VengeanceMTG Card: Burning Vengeance wasnt even good in a Burning VengeanceMTG Card: Burning Vengeance deck (competitively).

Cableguy, I really wish there was a way to vote for a 'Comment of the Day' on tappedout. Cause, I really Lol'ed at your comment.

Burning VengeanceMTG Card: Burning Vengeance is only bad in a burning vengeance deck because it relies on flashback, which is inherently slow and buggy. GravecrawlerMTG Card: Gravecrawler is both cheap, even from the graveyard, and stays in the graveyard when it dies, which adds recursion, not to mention you get a body out of it.. Together, these two traits make the crawler better than, say, a flashed back Think TwiceMTG Card: Think Twice.

I think the point they are trying to make here is that in that case, Burning Vengance is more or less a dead card unless you can pull one of the four (hopefully) GravecrawlerMTG Card: Gravecrawlers UNLESS you fill the deck with flashback. Those being, as a rule, slower and weaker spells than their non-flashback counterparts.

It's like running 4 Miran Swords with Invisible StalkerMTG Card: Invisible Stalkers as the only 4 creatures in the deck. Sure it's nice when you get the two cards together, but most of the time those equipment are just going to sit there looking pretty. You could add more creatures but when your other options for creatures are Storm CrowMTG Card: Storm Crows, maybe you should rethink the deck strategy.
