Deck Help forum

Hey, I am looking for a good, consistant way to draw cards in a mono-green deck.
Strength Of The Joraga If you have any ideas that don't color splash, I would like to hear them.

The problem I see with sundial is that it's ungodly slow. I have however, seen it in a deck that made great use of it, having almost infinite card draw with creatures like, over-grown-battlement, Wall of Omens , and the green titan.
If you feel like you have enough mana left over every game, then by all means, try it.

No love for Viridian Revel
Do you guys count Horizon Spellbomb & Explore ? They are more like card replacment than real draw.

ROFL
The only draw card spells in green are Explore , Irresistible Prey , Slice in Twain & Tel-Jilad Defiance . These are only gonna draw you 1 card in most circumstances and as such should be used as and when they could provide you with a method of both achieving your deck goal and getting your library 'thinned' down a little.
card:Garruk's Packleader, Snake Umbra , Viridian Revel & Momentous Fall are cards that could draw you more than 1 card, but these require specific conditions to be met.
So all in all, Green doesn't have any solid "get to the chopper" cards at this time.
Hope this helps ya's out a little.

Or if you're feeling nice you could run Howling Mine to give yourself and your opponent some very consistent card draw.

He is actually wanting standard, so Temple Bell would be more of the card he'd want.

Yeah, although I can't believe they didn't just reprint Howling Mine .

That's kind of a heavy mana commitment to make for a single card...I was thinking Elvish Visionary , but that is another card that somehow didn't make the cut for M11

Not in all circumstances. It depends on what you want to do. I would personally prefer Howling Mine because I don't care too much when it goes off, plus there's a trick to allow only you draw the extra card and not the opponent. Just tap it at the end of your turn with something like Auriok Transfixer .
Also, What if someone threw a Relic Putrescence on that Temple Bell of your's, hm? At least if they put it on your Howling Mine to stop your combo it will still go off as normal and they just wasted a spell. :P

Rawr! I EATZ ENCHANTMENT (says little plant thing in Naturalize art)
I still wish there was a good way to draw without dipping into blue.

I wish Skullclamp was standard. (or legal in a format besides Vintage for that matter.) I have a deck with four of them in it, it seems to be Ba-Roken! (that's why it's banned, I know, but still.)

The only one that I know of is Momentous Fall , however, that isn't a very consistent way to draw cards.
