Has any one Tested guttersnipe as the center piece of their deck? if so what were your results. I have been working on one to play at FNM. Im just not sure how it will hold up against some of the aggro decks we are seeing right now.

The 2 damage done by him is a little underwhelming, but I could see it being a major clock if you can also use Curse of Bloodletting on your opponent. The problem, though, is that many decks that use Guttersnipe are Burn, which usually finishes the game by the time it has 5 mana out.

I've been testing a deck that pairs Guttersnipe with Nearheath Pilgrim to add lifelink to his 2 damage, it's called deck:my-life-in-the-gutter.

I think Guttersnipe works very well in a RU build, especially if you are using U for counter / bounce / draw. You get to disrupt the opponent and deal damage. I recently put together a non-standard deck, called deck:budget-red-and-blue if you want some ideas. Its prob closer to a Modern deck, not so much as Legacy deck, but I just picked Legacy.

The decks I have tried him in haven't been very consistent.

Like meecht said, the 2 damage is pretty underwhelming. But when you have two of him down, you almost always win.

Same as Braxo.

I've been testing a burn/token deck, Izzet Gob'rins, with Guttersnipe at the center; there are a few win-cons, but it seems to either win spectacularly, or horrendously lose. Generally the idea is to chip away with 2-damage while I spit out tons of gobbos, then Burn at the Stake , Teleportal , or fire off multiple face burns + Guttersnipe for the win.

Guttersnipe is OK. I prefer Delver though in U/R. 3/2 flyer on turn 2 is great. And it occupies ur opponent for longer than a guttersnipe.. 2 Damage per instant/sorcery isnt really much and its kind of just a waste to make a deck around it.. No win condition

He shares a centerpiece well, and is a great vice-centerpiece but asking a three drop to do 20 by himself is hard.

Even when not consistent they are tons of fun: Throw-Away

Like everyone else has said, Guttersnipe alone isn't going to win you a game. I play him with Talrand, Sky Summoner in a RU deck. You can check Snipe the Skies out, be sure to look at the comments as I haven't updated to reflect them yet. Still getting around to acquiring the cards to do so.
