G/W Auras, can't decide

Deck Help forum

G/W Auras here, Auras there!

This deck has been performing fairly well, but board wipes destroy me fairly hard. For this reason, I need help. I want to add in 4 more Umbras, probably Hyena Umbra , and I also want to have at least 2x Sphere of Safety in to help against heavy creature decks. The problem is, I have no idea what to remove. Everything works so well together, so I just can't decide myself. Please help me out if you can.

You really shouldn't need any thing like Sphere of Safety . Aura decks chew up any fair creature decks. The big issue I see right now, and why you might be having trouble with heavy aggro decks is your curve is really unbalanced. If you're getting on the board early and fast you shouldn't have as many problems.

Suggestions

Here's my similar list, if you need any further ideas.

The above list isnt a bad place to build towards, while you can straight upgrade the land base to include whatever gw land it is u can pay 1 sac and draw but I cant think of it, and use of temple gardens

A proper mana base will make casting things like Daybreak Coronet much easier

Forgot to mention the most important part that I need to get across..I have a low budget. I'm not trying to make the greatest deck here, i'm probably never even going to be able to take it to any events, as modern, legacy, or anything except standard and EDH really are not played anywhere near me. I just want to make this deck as good as possible with a tiny budget. Sorry I forgot to mention this in the original post.

mckin Horizon Canopy is the card you're thinking of.

Vieno No worries, scratch the Daybreak Coronet , but the rest of the suggested cards are pretty cheap.

I'm afraid you're overestimating my low budget. A good way to explain my budget is to say that I probably should not be playing magic in my current situation. (I'm trying to avoid saying my exact budget because it's so low that it's sad and makes me feel bad)

Well often your own cards are your best resources in that regards. FInd folks to trade with, sell to your LGS, etc. One of the first ways I got started into making more expensive decks and having a bigger budget for cards was simply to more aggressively trade stuff out I knew I wasn't using or going to use.

Indeed that is true, and actually, the main reason I started this thread was to get help figuring out what to remove for 4 more umbras, because board wipes scare me. I got that help, and replaced Gift of Orzhova with Hyena Umbra , so I guess what I really needed help with has been completed!
