G/W Werewolf Deck Help?

Is G/W worth it as a color combo for a werewolf deck for the populate mechanic and the possibility of keeping Mayor of Avabruck  Flip stuck in his werewolf-form with Curse of Exhaustion ? Or should I do mono-green? Or maybe G/R? And on that note, what are some staples of Innistrad Werewolf Decks? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I see that werewolves are almost exclusively g/r in Innistrad block. That being the case, that rules out g/w. I suppose I could do g/r/w, but I'm hesitant to try my hand at three-color.

Well GW werewolves have a nice synergy with a boardwipe like Divine Verdict and card:Full Moon's Rise. Plus the efficiency of both of the creature-heavy colours isn't lost. You could go about the deck with a lot of human/werewolves and get card:Descendants' Path to keep card advantage without keeping much in your hand, Re-set a few transformation triggers with Cloudshift and have creatures like Fiend Hunter double up as removal and defense while you keep hacking away with your wolves. I think it'd be fair to run the deck more like a human deck and have a few select werewolves like Mayor of Avabruck  Flip , Lambholt Elder  Flip and Wolfbitten Captive  Flip as sources of heavy offence, while running card:Avacyn's Pilgrim and Hamlet Captain as parts of the human half

I meant Divine Reckoning as the boardwipe...

gheridarigaaz, thanks. However, this is actually meant for my girlfriend, who really wants a werewolf deck. She isn't very experienced at MtG yet, so perhaps G/R aggro would be a better fit for her, as G/W sounds a bit too complicated for her. But in any case, I'll tell her about these findings. Thanks for the help!

well... you could stick to red boardwipes... like Blasphemous Act . and just run the usual red removal package. on another note... i've found a problem with a werewolf deck of mine to be that it doesn't retain card advantage sufficiently... probably using Garruk, Primal Hunter would cover that... it deals with the problem of "not doing anything" to force your werewolves to flip by making tokens instead of casting spells, and the second problem being the card draw, which works with a whole bunch high powered werewolves you'll probably churn out...
