so recently after going to fnm and going 3-1 with y standard deck : standard selesnya, i realized i don't like playing and i don't want to play the most played standard decks, aka netdecking. so can i please have cool ideas for a standard deck? i don't care the play style or the price it just can't be a deck played by the masses. thank you for any and all ideas.

Well if you wanna stick to selesnya, I have a different take on it that isn't a netdeck, it's just a good midrange deck: Return to Selesnya.

If you wanna build something from scratch, take a look at Nivix Cyclops (there's already a popular deck around it though), Maze's End , Bronzebeak Moa , Master of Cruelties , Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch , Ruric Thar, the Unbowed (pretty much any guild leader or champion, except for Emmara Tandris ; she sucks hard), Simic Charm , Blistercoil Weird ...

I've been playing Nivix Cyclops /Guttersnipe for fun recently, and it's a blast to play.

Otherwise, Bronzebeak Moa is a close second, although less consistent. Pump out a bunch of tokens with, say, Parallel Lives and something stupid like Increasing Devotion .

Mono black control is sort of netdecking, but isn't heavily played where I come from. U/B mill seems sweet.

Maybe build a R/B/W vamps deck? With cool tools like Blood Baron of Vizkopa , it could be competitive even. As a sidenote, maybe a R/B/W extort deck that focuses on pinging, then dropping Rakdos, Lord of Riots and cheap creatures because of Rakdos, like Griselbrand .

You could always play Caley's Bolas for a Better Tomorrow. I personally love Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker .

I built Live Long and Populate mostly around Trostani, Selesnya's Voice . As soon as you get your Bant colors everyone assumes Bant control (which, despite the similarities, is not what I designed the deck around) and then they freak out.

It's really quite fun and it has a very winning record.

If you want a deck that's not being played by other people, then you need to come up with the idea.

This is the deck I bring to FNMs Deathly Control. Before that it used to be It's Wizarding Time! . Occasionally I bring my 'casual' deck there as well C-C-C-Combo! (ShimmerVoid), it's surprisingly good especially if your meta is quite slow.

I built a relatively competitive deck around Simic Manipulator and Nightveil Specter . Mind If I Borrow That...?. It needs a little tuning for your meta, but it is pretty unique and can be easily changed to fit your playstyle.

FNM is for Fun! You don't need to play some soulless copy+pasted deck off of SCG. Play something that expresses how you like to play Magic! Find a cool build-around-me uncommon you liked in a draft but couldn't get the other cards for during the it (Burning Vengeance , Spider Spawning , Pyroconvergence , Nivmagus Elemental etc and make a deck for it. Make a tribal deck. Play a color combo you've never played before. Don't worry so much about winning; you've clearly already done that. If you don't have fun, what's the point?

Vizkopa Guildmage ability plus Exquisite Blood plus any source of damage for infinite lifeloss for your opponent and infinite lifegain for you

Jace, Memory Adept plus Duskmantle Guildmage ability for two-shotting opponents or backup win by milling with Mind Sculpt Dream Twist or first half of Breaking / Entering

Nivmagus Elemental Delver shenanigans if you like beatdown or tempo

Guttersnipe Burning Vengeance value control deck with a bunch of flashback spells. You can also splash for Lingering Souls and Forbidden Alchemy if you have the money for the manabase, or you could experiment with guildgates and Evolving Wilds .
