when another creature attacks with Hellrider on the field, and Curse of Stalked Prey on the field, does hellrider get a +1/+1 counter from the curse?

Curse of Stalked Prey
specifies combat damage. Hellrider's effect is not combat damage and so it the curse won't activate. Good thought though.
