Help me improve this Mono-G Ramp list?

So, my friend is looking to get into MtG, and she asked me to help her build a deck. Problem being, I don't know how to deck build. Nonetheless, I accepted, and she gave me these requirements/guidelines:

-$50-90

-Wants to play Garruk, Primal Hunter

-Modern-legal, but geared towards casual play

-Wants to stay Mono-Green

So, with this in mind, I drafted up this list you see before you. It is far from optimal, though, namely because there's a lot of ramp and not a lot o payoff, and some cards seem not to serve a lot of purpose (i.e. Lotus Cobra or Avenger of Zendikar). So, this is where I ask you, the fine folks at TappedOut, for help. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!
