This is the deck in question: Simic-Type Deck

I played magic for a long time, but had a long, long pause, so I am not within the loop anymore, if you know what I mean.

This deck is a combo deck - where most cards simply combo with another. I think the mana curve is rather good and the possibilities this deck has are great. It is a bit slow, as it needs a few turns to start it's combos going. However, the creatures it has can quickly become VERY powerful. The Simic Sky Swallower is a nice game-winner and it functions very well with Graft, because Graft does not target. Prime Speaker Zegana can help a lot with winning drawn out situations or to get back into the game. Some control is fiddled in to keep bad things of my back. 2 mana leaks for early-mid game and 1 Voidslime for a sure lategame counter+the utility of countering abilities. Cytoshape and Psionic Blast both serve as destructive tools. Psionic Blast can also add some crucial damage to Planeswalkers or the enemies' health.Cytoshape is especially strong. Combined with 0/0 creatures, it becomes a damn powerful destructive tool and it has loads of utility. Also, by combining it with some extremely strong creatures, like the Fungal Behemoth or the Simic Sky Swallower , it can very well put the last nail in the enemies coffin. The Noble Hierarch is good to speed up the early game and adds some extra power through it's exalted effect. Gyre Sage can quickly grow very strong, while also being a strong source of mana once one gets it going. The Bramblewood Paragon add trample to most of my creatures and serve as a good 2-mana drop.

The main problem this deck has: 1. Getting +1/+1 counters on creatures, which do not already have one. Graft is a need method for that and the Fungal Behemoth is also useful. THis is not a big problem anyway, though. 2. Control decks are very powerful against this deck. They meddle too much with my creatures. Against destructive control, I can use the Plaxcaster Frogling to an extent and use my moderately strong early drops in general. Still, control is very bad for this deck~ Any options to prevent this?3. Due to being not all that fast, fast aggro decks can sometimes get the better of it. I didn't get to test that much, however, what would be a powerful answer this deck could have to them?

Please suggest some additional cards to put into the deck, however, please also tell me which cards I could or should take out(And how often, respectively). I always have the biggest problem in taking cards out, so some persuasive help would be welcome. And as I said, I am a bit out of the loop - so forgive me if I have overseen any obvious cards to use or take out.
