I just got a pack of 2013 boosters and I want to make a solid standard deck. I realize that standard consists of multiple blocks, but since I will be cracking a whole set of 2013 boosters, I was wondering what everyone thought the stronger cards will be. I tend to like control and creatures with abilities. I prefer colors in these orders: Blue, White, Red, Black, and Green. I'm not oppossed to mixing any colors though. any suggestions are welcome, I will check this in about 24 hours and give you an update on the deck I am going to build.
Just to clarify again, plese limit card combos and suggestions to 2013 block. If there is a really wicked combo from Return to Ravnica or Avaclyn then that is cool too. And no Snapcaster Mage and Delver, they are on thier way out if I recall rotations correctly.
Thanks everyone.

If you go the mill route, don't forget about Mind Sculpt .

With only M13 cards, Talrand would undoubtedly be your best bet.
Snapcaster Mage and Delver of Secrets Flip aren't rotating until next year. After the rotation in a few weeks, you can use anything from Innistrad, Dark Ascension, Avacyn Restored, M13, and Return to Ravnica.

Cool Ideas. I thought Snapcaster and Delver would be out much sooner, thanks for the clarification.
I've never done a Blue mill, I might give it a try.
Also, I suppose I'll need to beef up the block cards with some other sets in standard, but this is a very good start. Thanks everyone. I will put my first deck draft up soon.

I decided to try out a BW Exalted with the first deck I decided to build. The link to the deck is here: Exalted from 2013 BW. I could improve this deck, but these are the cards I have right now. thanks for reading./humbra

A few quick points:
1) Snapcaster Mage and Delver are still in rotation for another year. They don't move out until October 2013.
2) Just using a core set for a deck tends to be a somewhat weaker choice than using expansions to beef the core up.
Bearing that in mind...
Since you're a big fan of blue, mono-blue mill might be an option.
For a mill deck, look into Sands of Delirium , Mind Sculpt , Jace, Memory Adept , and card:Jace's Phantasm, with Negate , Essence Scatter , and Unsummon for control options. card:Tormod's Crypt would be good support against flashback, scavenge, and recursion.
