Help with my Modern Dredge

Hi Everybody!

So I know I've posted this deck before, but I am looking for some honest opinions on it (janky, fragile, you name it...) It's Life From The Stinkweed Scholar's Birthing Ooze. Essentially it wants Necrotic Ooze on the board and Civilized Scholar  ^Flip and Stinkweed Imp in the graveyard, then the combo goes off.

I need to make it more resilient though. I'm trying to find unnecessary cards and am looking at things like Quillspike because although it's a win-con with Devoted Druid it's not required for the main-combo...I see something like Ghost Dad having more value since I pay ALOT of life to make things happen faster.
