Horror Ideas

Deck Help forum

floating around an idea of making a horror deck. Since a lot of horror creatures have "sacrifice a creature" I would need a good cycle of bringing back creatures. Any ideas on how I could do this without too much trouble? Thanks guys.

If you go Orzhov (B/W) you can get access to Obzedat's Aid , which would work well. Also gives you Sorin, Lord of Innistrad , Lingering Souls , and Midnight Haunting

Immortal Servitude could do the trick if all the creatures you're using as fodder are the same mana cost

I found a lovely combo in black when making my Vivid Vampires deck: Reassembling Skeleton and Pawn of Ulamog . Sac the reassembling to whatever ability you want/need to activate, and in response to it entering the graveyard, Pawn of Ulamog 's ability triggers, giving you an eldrazi token. You can use it for a bit of ramp, or you have another creature free of charge to use as a sacrifice for activation costs. :)

In my vamp deck I use it to move Blade of the Bloodchief around between vampires by sacrificing the eldrazi spawn for the 1 colorless, which triggers the Blade of the Bloodchief , then spending the mana to re-equip the Blade elsewhere. :) I know you won't be utilizing that particular combo, but I'm just listing this example so you can see how well they interact with eachother. :D

I'm also assuming this is Modern, since I don't think there are enough "Horror" creatures in standard. Do you have a decklist that you are working from, or are you just asking for general ideas and whatnot?

Just looking for general ideas and btw this is classic format so I can use most cards. On my search for different horror creatures I some how got more interested in zombies. I am now looking at a zombie sacrifice deck to make my opponent sac creatures.
