How can I consistently handle aggro?

Deck Help forum

So I've built a defender deck You won't see this in your meta. and it's soooo much fun to play. It's synergizes beautifully, and even exceeds its mana curve most of the time. My problem is fast, big aggro. Rakdos usually isn't a problem since most of my defenders can shut down or stall them early game until the run out of steam. Boros has proven to be a problem though, along with Gruul. They can just get too big too fast before I can lock down into a stall (Which is what my deck is meant to do).

My question is what can I add to my deck to deal with these threats?

Fog and Riot Control and then hope they don't have the Skullcrack they sided in against you in their hand when you try the same stuff in game 2 and 3.

Removal, board wipes, and life gain are the answers for Aggro decks.

at a point i used Heroes' Reunion 7life for 2mana was huge in stalling against aggro or recovery out of burnrange. when your got to a stall mode and poped one of those you had pretty much won since your life was now outside the dangerous burnzone.

but i do need to add i used the reunions because i needed lifegain against aggro and didnt own Sphinx's Revelation (was using Opportunity instead)

Thanks for the advice everyone! Blind Obedience is a great suggestion and I think I'll try to find a way to include it. I like Riot Control Too, but if I'm going for life-gain anyway, I think I would rather run Congregate . Sphinx's Revelation would be a great pick if I could afford it, especially with the draw advantage, but at this time I'll have to shy away from it.
