how can I protect my Relentless Rats from being exiled???

I made a fun deck consisting mainly of Relentless Rats. Sever the Bloodline, Slaughter Games, Thought Hemorrhage, pithing needle, and surgical extraction KILL this deck. any way to protect my library with a black deck???

There's a black counterspell called Dash Hopes that punishes them for trying. Buuuuut...realistically that's five life to gut your deck. Supplement the rats with discard so they can't cast those spells?

thanks but i think i'm going to convert my deck to a blue/black for some Cancel s and some Counterspell s :) ratatatta tatatatatat

Surgical Extraction can be battled with Gravepurge . Although it's hardly favourable.

Discard might be your best choice. Duress comes to mind. It may be a better solution than counterspells, as Slaughter Games doesn't care about those. Experiment.

if you're just playing your friends, tell them to play the game and not pull puss moves like that. it's suposed to be fun!

Black doesn't do defense very well. It has no countermeasure for those cards.
