How Do You Aggro??
Deck Help forum

Okay, so when I build decks, they are quirky and fun. They only win about 25% of the time. When they do win though, it's soooooo rewarding! I don't actually have a deck that is built to win. I think I need at LEAST one. I'm thinking an aggro deck. I want to do either Boros, or Rakdos aggro, and maybe Gruul. I think I will do Boros, but it's not guaranteed. My major problem is that I have never built an aggro deck. I don't know how. I want to win as soon as possible, but I don't know... I'm simply asking for ideas and possibly assistance. Thanks!

Alright thanks Slycne! That's a good guideline that I will follow.

Be careful though, a lot of people that run aggro are dead mid game. If you do want to run a successful aggro make sure you have some drawing power because once your hand is empty you practically lose. I've been only playing for about 3 months but the one aggro/burn deck i've had NOPENOPENOPENOPE! (Post-Rotation) has placed me the following:5 out of 34 FNM, 3 out of 14 (tournament), 5 out of 22 FNM, 2nd of 16 in tournament, 5th of 33 tournament, and 3rd of 22 FNM.
The deck has worked amazingly well and it just depends on what you wanna do. If you have any questions dont be afraid to ask man. I love to make aggro decks. Good luck!

I took a swing at Selesnya aggro simply because I love the colors and wanted to fully abuse Rancor and Ethereal Armor . It also gives access to great lifegain cards like Unflinching Courage and Fiendslayer Paladin to counter blitz decks that spit out insane damage but slow down early.
If you like lifegain with your aggro, Selesnya and Boros are the way to go. Chaotic blitz decks tend to be Gruul or Rakdos.

I made a prototype Boros aggro and it will be up on my decklist in a little bit. I'm kind of going for post-rotation.

30 creature, 8 spells and 22 lands with most between 1-3 CMC and maybe a playset of a 4 CMC finisher is usually a good starting point.
