I'm running a three colored deck, and i am trying to figure out the value of Shimmering Grotto , Alloy Myr , and Manalith . I think i like Manalith over Alloy Myr , but idk how to value Shimmering Grotto . Should it take the place of a basic land or a one drop spell?

I think your better off with evolving wilds over shimmering and manalith over alloyevolving wilds let's you choose which land you need and it pulls am addition card out of your library reducing chance of being flooded later on downside it does come in tapped though

It's common-level color-fixing. It comes into play untapped and can fix for you on the turn it comes into play, just at the cost of one mana. If you need color-fixing on a budget, it's pretty good, but if you're not on a budget then there are better options.

Shimmering Grotto is a weak card in most respects. I would only run it if you can't afford to run dual lands AND if you aren't running green. Evolving Wilds is typically going to be a better choice but I could see running the grotto if the deck doesn't heavily rely on colored mana. Generally, Sphere of the Suns is much better than Alloy Myr or Manalith . I wouldn't really equate the grotto against these kinds of mana rocks because they fill very different roles.

If you have a very small splash of a color, I might say use it, but if you're going to be using it for color fixing often, I'd put in dual lands or fetch lands instead. Evolving Wilds puts you back a land for one turn, but Shimmering Grotto puts you back a land every turn you use it.
