How to make U/R control deck more flexible?

I recently made a U/R control deck, U/R Sphinx Hijinks, to use in my casual play group. What I've noticed so far is A) Relying almost solely on Sphinx of Jwar Isle as a win condition is flimsy and unreliable, and B) Having so much countermagic makes games slow, boring, and stale.
I'm on a tight budget (I spent only ~$10 on this deck), so are there any cheap ways to include more win conditions/make play more dynamic?
