How To Sideboard Against Aggro

Deck Help forum

I made an Esper deck recently (not your average Esper deck) and am looking for some input on how to improve my sideboard (and possibly mainboard without ruining the existing synergy) to deal with Aggro. The deck does well vs Control and Midrange, but without the right hand it falls to Aggro more easily than I would like. Thanks!

up that to 4 verdicts and you may want to sideboard in some Doom Blade s for cheap early removal. I would change the 2 Pithing Needle (which I've found underwhelming) to the 2 verdicts and figure out a way to put in those Doom Blade s. Really you want the turn 4 wipe and easy removal to deal with those creatures. Also the +1 on Jace, Architect of Thought is important in the aggro match up. To be honest, that's why most esper shells look the same using these cards as 4 ofs, except the Doom Blade .

Here's mine and it does well against all forms of play, though rdw is an interesting match up for me. I tend to sideboard for it like I do control, with more counters and it works out fine.

deck chart Controlling Standard.

How to beat aggro; lots of kill spells and life gain. Eventually they will stall out and then you take over
