how well does extort work?

i recently pulled Pontiff of Blight out of a pack when i played in the prerelease. Ive also heard that extort is really a good mechanic to base a deck around. My question is, does my deck the grave calls have a decent chance at making top 8 at this friday night magic? Do you have any experience playing extort decks? How well did it work? What do you think of my deck?

All of my experience with Extort is primarily based around attrition style control as opposed to a creature oriented build like yours, but, in that environment at least I have to say that it is ridiculously powerful. In a control deck it gives you boatloads more reach.

The main fear I have for your deck is that for much of your early game you either have to choose between casting threats early or slowing them down a full turn so that you can extort at least once off of them. Late game all of the extort could be phenomenal for the extra reach and uncounterable pinging, but, I'm not certain it will be enough to solely win off of with the deck's current arrangement.

Regardless, it seems like fun and good luck with it, its certainly got potential.
