Hello, I'm a casual player that is currently working on a modern red/green midrange-ish deck, and I have been recently been testing against some of my friends' more powerful decks. I have done well against most, but one always breats it: a green/black ramp that ramps into ulamog, the infinite gyre. It is a big mess of cards, but there is never a game without an ulamog or primevil Titan. While I can take care of the Titan, I can't stop the legendary eldrazi. What should I do: is there a card that can beat it, should I out aggro it, or should I take some other plan of action? I will not do white/black/blue splashes, that is the only restraint.

Brittle Effigy isn't bad, especially since green/black might have something to revive Ulamog. Check artifacts that exile or shuffle into the opponent's deck.

You can try Chaos Warp ? Is that Modern legal?

Checked. Nope, it's not.
Your colors are bad at dealing with Indestructible creatures, and that's just part of the game. Win before it hits the field.

no, Chaos Warp was never printed in a real set, so it is not modern legal

Well, if you have the money and want to be competitive, you can build a R/G urzatron deck and ramp out your own eldrazi titans. Alternatively, you can run Karn Liberated and outright exile him.
R/G tron is actually a pretty competitive modern deck, if that's what you're into.

Helvault is a very expensive (mana) solution. R/G has a hard time dealing with indestructible. Black has Tragic Slip , Devour Flesh etc. while white has Path to Exile /Journey to Nowhere and blue has an array of counters, but red and green are pretty hard to come by any easy solutions. Killing him before he can play it is a good option. Use Pyroclasm /Volcanic Fallout /Electrickery and sweep his board of mana dorks before he can play it.

Green has infect and buff spells. Infect puts -1/-1 counters on creatures instead of doing damage. This in addition to putting poison counters on your opponent means only 10 infect damage kills him. Modern infect is a real thing also. These -1/-1 counters do affect indestructible and let you kill ulamog.
Most infect decks run u/g u/b/g or b/g. W has a bit of infect also. Red has a couple but not many either or value ones. I would do something like green infect creatures, buffs and a bit of ramp with red burn for control and some fun enchantments like madcap skills.

infect can kill ulamog, but it will probably cost you your entire board to block him. you need at least ten power to put enough counters on to kill him, and if you have ten power between your infect, theres a good chance you should have won already.Lignify on the other hand prevents ulamog or the titan from even attacking in the first place, and even in an infect deck it can result in your opponent being forced to block with the now (probably) harmless dude. it is nearly a green Journey to Nowhere

Morokai apparently you hav't seen much infect. Again buffs and something like Phyrexian Hydra a 7/7 for 5 with infect and a Giant Growth is not your whole board. It,s not all 1/1 with infect. 10 infect should be done turn 3-5. The speed of their games sound slow with prime time and ulamog hitting the field ( give they can be cheated out). Neither of these decks sound tier 1 and playing for the enjoyment.

Umm... if you're using Phyrexian Hydra , and buff... why not just kill them with a Rancor ?

gufymike that is why I said 'if you have 10 power between them then you probably should have won already"

How about using Tumble Magnet ? It will give you 3 turns to keep it locked down at least

Ensnaring Bridge works well if you don't mind not being able to attack yourself. :D Char-Rumbler could make an addition if this is the route you go :D

you can always go with a Lignify which takes care of them both.
