I'm trying to make this deck more viably competetive... View the world from American eyes
My main concern is keeping the deck's core mechanic cards Purphoros, God of the Forge , Fanatic of Mogis , Master of Waves , and Evangel of Heliod and seeing if I can find cards that don't have a CMC of 3; so as to make this deck more fluent in its progress.
Any suggestions?
She is expensive, but her presence on the board can become out of hand quickly to your opponent if left unchecked.

FTR, she's at the lowest point she's been since release (she opened at 18 for the low) and you can get her at about that price now. Way down from the 30$ tag she had in early November. I expect her to rise again shortly after the new year back to the 25$ tag she was stable at. (all prices are low).

I might have to work Boros Charm in for survivability then.

since you're going american, you're missing a set of shocks from your list Steam Vents
this would also give you utility to use Chained to the Rocks as you'd have 10 mountains in your mana base. side or mainboard.
Lyev Skyknight seems out of place. I think you'd be better off with like Nivmagus Elemental or something that will help you towards your goal of r/u devotion and is a 1 drop which your deck has none of.

Hmmm, alright so I swapped out Lyev Skyknight with Chained to the Rocks and placed Steam Vents in there. Seems to be running a little smoother now

Your deck doesn't feature enough white to run Evangel of Heliod viably. In it's place, for generally the same effect but with more consistency, run Elspeth, Sun's Champion . It's the same CMC, it's a planeswalker, and you'll generate more tokens to play off of Purphoros. Of course there's also her removal spell which is also really good.
