I need some help in replacing a card.

Oh, the Humanity!

I am pretty much complete with this deck design, however, I replaced Gideon Jura with Herald of War after realizing the uselessness of gideon. I want something to replace her that will feel more like a bomb. The only other bomb is the Angelic Overseer and I want the card to have the same feel. The herald lacks that even though her ability is awesome. the problem is all my humans have 2 white mana cost so she is redundant. Any suggestions?

1. No, I will not add colors
2. No, I will not add anything from the mirroden block (AKA: Hero of Bladehold, Sword of War and Peace). I have a personal stigma against it.
3. I need it to be 5 mana cost to fit the curve and it must be standard.
4. It must fit the synergy of the humans. If it is an angel, she must be dependent or at least a buffer of humans

I'm on the fence about Herald of War. The only reason is that by turn 5 (assuming that's the earliest you get it out), you should be nearing the end of the game. In that sense, I'm not sure how effective her ability really is. Although, I haven't had enough play time with my - still in progress - angel deck Angels and Humans to completely settle on that opinion.

Personally, I really like Angel of Glory's Rise and an end game bomb card. But that's outside of your mana requirement.

I find that Gideon Jura is very effective at removing creatures so you have a clear battlefield when you attack. You can remove 1/2 and 2/2 creatures all day with it. And remove bigger threats by blocking with your soul bonded Silverblade Paladin's.

Thanks for the tip. I took Gideon Jura out due to his +0 ability not buffing the champion. He has no synergy with the deck and is just a big guy. I'm liking Angel of Glory's Rise just for her "return all humans from the graveyard ability." She would make a good replacement for the Herald of War for endgame situations.

I think I'm going to go with the Sun Titan since he is one mana less than the Angel of Glory's Rise and has the same effect. All of my heavy hitters are 3 and less mana cost.

Actually there are some good spirit cards too. You should strongly consider Dearly Departed. Yeah it's a 6 and not a 5 but it's effect can be extremely helpful, especially if you havent started pulling out humans yet. This would also help with Mikaeus by giving him a extra counter.

I don't like the Dearly Departed because:

1. He is 6 mana
2. His effect is only useful when he is dead
3. He is to early game for me. By then the champion should be a 10/10
