I want to build a deck on a budget for Game Day. Suggestions/Ideas needed. Please Help.

What cards/colors would probably make for a strong Budget Deck for tomorrow's Game Day?
I want to build something out of my collection and pick up whatever $1 or less cards I need to fill in the gaps I'm missing.
My local meta has people who have very expensive and strong decks and I'm looking for something that can challenge them and not empty my wallet.
You could try Doomstar requiem Just switch out the gods and the fancy land.

Thanks for the suggestions! =) Getting the rares will probably be a bit difficult, but these are nice.
I forgot to mention, I bought a box of Born of the Gods and that's a big chunk of my collection right now. I began playing about the end of Innistrad block, so I have an ok amount of Ravnica Block cards and some M14 and Theros.
Anyone have some more ideas? Preferably something that favors Commons and Uncommons, while I slide in whatever rares I have to improve it.

This is my version of Red Deck Wins with some budget considerations added in there for you. Pre-SB it is a really aggressive deck that goes on the beat down path. Post-SB it can become a control deck and really punish the 3 color decks that are popping up as well as the control decks that adds scry-lands instead of basics. My version runs a green splash to help deal with Enchantments and Artifacts as well as Ghor-Clan Rampager and Fanatic of Xenagos but if you don't have the R/G land base it's not worth adding them.

What do the players in your area use? I've had a lot of success preying upon the meta at Gamedays because a lot of people show up who aren't aware of what all is in the format. At the Theros Gameday, for example, I played Jund Blitz and went up against something like four U/W/x Control decks out of six rounds and wound up in 1st. Maze's End is also really good against three color control decks and most midrange strategies.
Against an aggro-heavy meta, I'd recommend playing a midrange deck with lots of removal.

I don't get to FNM often, but the last time I played I remember getting stomped by decks that had lots of Planeswalkers and Mutavault . Azorius, Dimir, Esper, and Slivers, really hurt. )=
I'm getting really good at Sealed play though. Not hitting last place anymore and at the BNG Pre-release I would've gained some prizes if I hadn't made any mistakes in a particular match. Reeeally wish I had somebody to practice with where I live. =\

Hey man, if you want you can build a copy of my rakdos speed deck. it is fast and cheap. the only semi expensive card is the Ash Zealot . Dreadbore can be replaced by a fourth Doom Blade

Thanks katarhero! It looks doable as long as I can find the Rakdos Cackler and Fanatic of Mogis .
Unless I'm really lucky, I'll have to replace the most of the Ash Zealot s with something else since I only have one currently. There's no guarantee that I'll find three (if any) in my store's rare box.
Ironically I do have a single Slaughter Games . =P

its fast, fun, and decent. and not expensive if you forgo the scry/shocklands.....
