Ideas for Standard Mono Blue

makes it seem appealing. Any ideas would be great.
Fancy that, I just made a mono-blue Standard for the hell of it:
It's nothing special, but I love the cloning ability that blue has. Consider having 5-6 AEtherling s on the board or making your own Thragtusk squad to counter your opponent. I mention in the description that there's a few key cards that are threatening, so that explains the 8 counterspells and ability to recycle cards.

mono blue should not be thing while Skylasher is standard. splash another color so as to avoid those guys. AEtherling can be unblockable so ur somewhat safe, but on the whole Skylasher would wreck shit on you

I'd definitely be afraid of Skylasher
if anyone locally ran it. My local FNM is all Junk Rites and Esper Control. I think a couple of guys play Boros too. That's really about it though. I've been working on Grixis myself.
Hell, I should be the one running Skylasher . No Supreme Verdict or Detention Sphere to worry about...

Supreme Verdict will still kill Skylasher . Protection from blue won't help against the non-targetting board wipe.
