Improving Rate of Combo/Consistency

Deck Help forum

My deck, I-so-quit Scepter is usually pretty fast, if I draw the right cards right away. I need a strategy/card that essentially either pulls what I need, or helps me get to it faster. I hate getting stuck with no combo cards, but have a ton of mana, or having two copies of each combo card and no mana. I need to know if there is a way to increase consistency without sacrificing the strategy of the deck. Any ideas would be great, also +1 the deck if you thought it was cool. (If you thought it was a deck that you never want to see in person, +1 it too, that was the point :p)

Fetch lands help your consistency of drawing the right cards. So does Selective Memory .

I would only ever put Selective Memory in a deck that needed more land drops and only once I fount the opponent's strategy out so I don't hurt my chances by getting rid of a card I might need. As for fetchs, I don't have any. I usually never get screwed for land, especially now that I can fetch them with Tezzeret. So, I am set for lands for the moment, unless my card baser changes significantly. Thanks for the thoughts, though. Keep thinking!

Recently said in deck comments:

I want to try and use as few cards with mana costs above two as possible, to use on Isochron Scepter . That way, I have at least one activation per turn, and if I don't need a spell anymore, I can Boomerang my Scepter and re-imprint it. Silence is probably going to stay in at least a small amount, due to its stalling capabilities. Galvanic Blast is staying; it's my win con. No matter what, I have to have that. Affinity is great and all, but not with infinite mana, and the scepter.

I am really not trying to refuse all help, I just need to keep the combo intact, I need nonessential cards replaced with cards that replace themselves, ie. draw a card or more. If I had Fire/Ice , I would have that in there. If anyone has a few that they could part with, please let me know.

So, to clarify, essential cards include: Filigree Sages Khalni Gem Training Grounds Isochron Scepter Galvanic Blast

Cards that help greatly: Sol Ring Boomerang Silence Font of Mythos Temple Bell

So, any cards that serve a multiple purpose to do stuff and draw would be great, I just can't seem to find them. Also, if you think of a better strategy to go with the combo, and some cards to do it, please suggest the strategy, not just the cards. Be detailed, too.

Thanks again everyone for trying to help!

just a thought: foresee? lets you filter your deck pretty quickly if you have the mana, haven't realy looked at your deck long enough to see if it could help though, i basically only play standard.

i hear Brainstorm and Accumulated Knowledge are pretty good on a scepter.

LOL, I don't have any of those. I was thinking maybe Whispers of the Muse for draw, 'cause I could use it when I have the mana combo, and need a free scepter.

a playset of both should run a total of 4 bucks? pretty good investment, maybe.
