Infect: Is it viable

When I first started playing with Scars block I, like most sane people, hated infect, but as I played with it, it began to grow on me. I eventually tried GB Infect with limited success, but gave up and moved on. It was fun to play, and a pain to play against, but never seemed to be good enough to win consistently. Recently though, I heard about a Mono-Black variant that did well in a major tournament; this peaked my interest, as I was still clinging to the hope that infect could be a thing, so I started brewing.
It was just after worlds when all this was going on, so everybody was still high on Tempered Steel; which gave me an idea. There are artifact creatures with infect right? As it turns out I was not the first to try this, and there was a reason it wasn't being played, it just didn't do well consistently. Sigh, one more deck idea left behind, until a few days ago when a friend and I started discussing rouge decks to run at FNM, and we both liked the sound of Tempered Infect. After some tweaking and discussing we decided to add blue for some utility, especially in the board. This is the result; UW Tempered Tantrum. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

it will be until it cycles out. word to the wise, blighted agent is evil, especially when equipped with stuff to power it up. I lost a tournament match to a guy withing 5 minutes, counting the times we shuffle libraries and stuff.

If this goes the way of the last infect decks, consider a u/b/g variant that is powered by Wild Defiance. WD can put the game within reach quite quickly. Titanic Growth on the aforementioned Blighted Agent with WD in play gives you an 8/8 unblockable infect fella :) just my 2 cents. Id run 4x Revenge of the Hunted too! That equals a 10/10 unblockable infect fella. Good luck with the deck and if you want to fool around with some WD infect ideas, page me ;)

Thanks for all the feed back.
I plan on making the WUG version of this deck if this doesn't do well, but for now this is a really fun deck to play.

The deck did fairly well, a bad choice, and a bad hand kept from top 8, but 9th out of around 40 people is pretty good. Go check out the deck for a more thorough overview of the FNM

Thanks to all who looked at, and commented on the deck. quargur and PhyrexianAssimilator for the big changes they helped to make. The deck is now in fine tuning, but I think it's ready for Friday.
I'm super excited, and also a bit nervous, to finally answer the question; "Is infect a viable option in Type 2?"
