Is it worth going Delver in gatecrash?

I know no cards have officially been spoiled but in terms of the colors I want to work with i think delver might have a decent shot once Gatecrash comes out. I'm really hoping for some good removal coming from House Dimir along with some mill and cheap deck manipulation effects so I present to you my Gatecrash delver idea... Versatility
It splashes for Deathrite Shaman so the mill spells I use aren't exactly a waste of a turn
There's no sense in predicting whether or not a deck archtype will do well once a new set is released without any real spoilers. All you can do is look at how it is now and assume it won't change a whole lot.

I'm expecting as much. Which is why the deck won't be so reliant on counterspells, which annoyingly means it'll be taking blows from Thundermaw Hellkite and Thragtusk but what can you do about it, bar siding in Essence Scatter and Appetite for Brains ?

That's part of the reason I'm worried about the build's power. You aren't really doing yourself any favors by allowing huge threats like Angel of Serenity , Thragtusk , and the innumerable other fatties to resolve. Your creature base isn't really oriented to deal with that kind of combat presence.

That, and one Thragtusk bumps up your chance to win that game by about 25% against Aggro.
Thragtusk alone is probably the biggest reason why Aggro is having such a difficult time fitting into Standard right now. It's 5 life and at least 2 creatures/spells away from your opponent to deal with it.

Combine that with Centaur Healer and Restoration Angel and it's very hard to get aggro moving.

And Terminus being in nearly every White deck.
And Supreme Verdict .

Delver has been tanking recently. It just can't hold up to Selesnya Tempo and R/X aggro, and it it outmatched by Bant control. There is too much mass removal and ramp for Delver to be what it once was (not to mention the deck lost Mana Leak , Gitaxian Probe , Gut Shot , etc.)
If you want to try, go for it. Just be aware that it may not work out as well as you'd hoped.
