Is R/B a plausible t2 control deck?

Deck Help forum

Recently i have seen U/B control U/B/R control and U/R control

What about R/B control?

I mean, both of those colors have a lot of power and they have 2 dual lands and stensia bloodhall for when the game goes long or you don't have that extra shock or geistflame.

Any ideas for this kind of deck? I have seen a lot of "rawr Im aggressive black/red decks"but no "do I have incinerate or doom blade for your creature?" decks.

What cards besides olivia and inferno titan would this deck play and why.

My Standard R/B deck is a pretty good mix of aggro and control: Minute Bomb.

I want it to be more on the side of control and not heartless summoning based. It's a dead draw and redundant when you already have one. i am thinking about faithless looting when it actually comes out so I can dump cards that my opponent will forget about like bump in the night or geistflame.

Maybe with Dark Ascension new cards. Recently,B/R is an understimated deck, but Vampires maybe will give it a turning point. Doom Blade ,Go for the Throat ,Victim of Night are a must for control decks. As well as card:Black Sun's Zenith,Incinerate ,Grave Titan ,Inferno Titan and so on. I don't really know that many control red cards, but i know a lot of black, indeed. Three out of five of my MTG friends use an annoying U/B deck,so...

I really don't know myself. Black and red pretty much play the same control wise. All they really do is kill off creatures. The reason blue is used alot, is because it has spell control also, bounce, and Snapcaster Mage . I'm not saying it wouldn't work, but I think you would be better off mixing in blue, or taking a color out for blue. But aggro should be right up your alley with these colors.

Yeah, that true. Indeed, not only aggro decks are T2 these times,i'm afraid... Fortunately, the new Snapcaster Mage Control (that's bad for a lot of my friends) and a lot of thing used in Innistrad cycle (as you may know, this will be the "graveyard" cycle). Sound pretty good!
