Is Devoted Druid and Elder of Laurels a combo that could make it in modern or is it just a casual style deck?
this is my build let me know what you think. also my friend is building this deck not me and he wants to keep it budget so no Green Sun's Zenith or other expensive cards.

Consider that modern decks have enough removal to break your combo up quite frequently.

thats true, i thought about that and figured it would be better for casual i just wanted to see if it could be polished in a way that would make it playable in that format.

Run Pact of Negation and Slaughter Pact along with elves or some ramping creatures and you could have the combo relatively safe with some free removal if needed to win on turn 4. You will need 5 creatures out to make it work, so it's viable although it would more than likely take a few more turns to assemble the right number of creatures.
