i would like to know what people think about a deck that is blue green and white that controls the game so that later i can play things like Armada Wurm or to win with Azor's Elocutors . i would also put in Palisade Giant and Detention Sphere . any sugestions about the idea?

Blue, Green, and White is generally known as Bant. In fact, bant decks are very powerful in the current Standard Metagame. The deck uses cards like Azorius Charm and Detention Sphere to stall up as well as value creatures such as Restoration Angel and Thragtusk . You also run several Supreme Verdict . The card that makes that deck tick is Sphinx's Revelation .

Your deck seems like a good idea. To make it you could take a similar shell to the normal Bant control and add a funky alternative win condition in Azor's Elocutors . You would need a playset of Supreme Verdict as well as a way to mitigate many attackers. Since the control decks in standard are capable of stalling long enough to win with Nephalia Drownyard , then surely you can last long enough to win with the elocutors.

Is this going to be Standard? Casual? Competitive?

i am sorry i thought i put that in there. it is standard. also cartwheelnurd the problem with Supreme Verdict is that it will destroy my Azor's Elocutors . also i thought about Merciless Eviction it is a lot more flexible. the problem with merciless eviction i the cost though.

Not really. Green and white have a bit of graveyard recursion, and blue is pretty good about retrieving non-creature spells from the graveyard.

If you are going to win with Azor's Elocutors , you should consider utilizing Vorel of the Hull Clade in your deck. U/G is still in your wheelhouse, and his ability allows you to double the current number of counters on the Elocutors, which means you only need 2-3 turns without taking damge to win, instead of just 5+.

Also conisder utilizing tons of mana ramp in green, since the sooner you play Azor's Elocutors the easier it will be to get those counters. Farseek , Arbor Elf , and Avacyn's Pilgrim should be must-haves for your deck in particular.

Hope you found any of this helpful, and be sure to post a deck link here when you get started on it. I'm interested to see what you come up with!

@RuneViking: Or the vice-versa of Fog Bank + Pariah . Though in addition to Heart of Light I would recommend Ghostly Possession , because it would also give the Palisade Giant flying for the same ability and mana cost. Just makes it one step better at stopping nuisance enemies. :)

@Xindlepete yeah, i have Heart of Light and Ghostly Possession in my blue white control deck. I use it with Palace Guard . The one problem I have with Ghostly Possession is that it only protects against combat damage. Since I test my blue white prototypes against my red aggro with my friends, I sometimes come across problems with Ghostly Possession only protecting and stopping combat damage. I do not see why Palisade Giant would need flying anyway, since the damage dealt to you is also directed to it instead, you wouldn't need anything to block for you.

I can see how Palisade Giant and Ghostly Possession would make a good combo. This way you can deflect all damage to the Giant and he can block any creature. The fact that he can only block combat damage I think is somewhat of a moot point because he isn't going to be taking a lot of spell damage, right?

@nitemayor that was the point I was making in my comment... why would you need Palisade Giant to block anyway? Couldn't you just let the damage through to you, it would just go to Palisade Giant anyway. Heart of Light would probably be a better way to go.

@RuneViking: Haha. Yeah. I'm pretty much everywhere! o__O

@RuneViking/nitemayor: I wasn't recommending Ghostly Possession over Heart of Light , I was recommending it IN ADDITION TO. So that OP could double up on enchantments with that effect, to increase his overall odds of pulling Palisade Giant + either of the damage prevention enchantments. It would help the deck be a bit more consistent.

The other reason that allowing Palisade Giant to block flying creatures is to gain a bit more utility out of the "undamageable" blocker. Since this is already leaning heavy white, OP could look into Smite or similar spells that affect blocked/blocking creatures. Being able to block anything would grant him better access to white removal spells. It was just a thought. :)

RuneViking the problem with Heart of Light is that it is not legal in standard.
