Is this combo worth it?

So I am working on a new deck Venomous Gorgons

G/B death touch gorgon tribal deck for those who dont want to take a look. The combo in question involves Vraska the Unseen -7. It says to Put three 1/1 black Assassin creature tokens onto the battlefield with "Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, that player loses the game."

I was thinking about splashing Ready / Willing and one or two combo lands either a green white, a black white or maybe a Selesnya Cluestone to be able to give those tokens indestructibility to end the game.

Is that even worth it to secure that as a win condition? advice on this question and general deck advice welcome!

Indestructible creatures can still be chump blocked all day long. You'd be better off giving them unblockable or some other form of evasion.

Glaring Spotlight would be the perfect setup for you; hexproof and unblockable for a measely 3 colorless mana :)

it actually doesn't give them indestructibility until the end of the game. If you look closely, it says, "Creatures you control are indestructible THIS TURN. Untap each creature you control."

At the end of the turn when Ready is cast, they would cease to be indestructible.

I second that, splash blue for Thassa, God of the Sea and Aqueous Form

Devonin yeah...that...that would be a lot easier. The only things I have found are Alpha Authority or maybe making sure I have out Shadow Alley Denizen right before I use the -7. Any other ideas?

All in all, that is a win con that will usually not be an option for you. Blue would be great in this, because you could put in Prophet of Kruphix , which essentially makes Sedge Scorpion a one mana, destroy target attacking creature without flying

AJtheConquerer I was planning on casting that right after the -7 but yeah I see your point.

eleet5 I like that. I like that a lot. Ill have to try that or what Lord007 said about splashing blue. Both sound pretty good.

juddnasty Shadow Alley Denizen wouldn't work, because the tokens have summoning sickness

Unblockable things in Standard, which are G/B or easily splashable:

Aqueous Form , Glaring Spotlight , Prowler's Helm , Rogue's Passage , Thassa, God of the Sea , Way of the Thief

The advantage of Way of the Thief is that you'll probably be using gates to splash for it anyway, so it's no big deal, and Thassa gives unblockability even while not a creature so you also don't have to care about devotion to blue.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. The only thing that might be worth running is a single Rogue's Passage . Otherwise you're dedicating card slots just to make a 2 of in your deck that still needs to work up to 7 loyalty with a ability that doesn't effect the board a little better.

You got plenty of removal or simple plays like monsterous Hythonia the Cruel then pop Vraska the Unseen 's ult, forcing them to deal with those 3 right away. No reason to overly complicate and dilute the deck.

Stuff I would add though is more lands, 22 is not nearly enough for that curve. I would hit those Dying Wish and Ordeal of Nylea first for 4 Golgari Guildgate .

so... why has Mogis's Marauder not come up yet as a way for this? haste-giving, evasion, fits current colors...

I hadn't mentioned it because MBD is a popular deck now, and it's not really that good when a bunch of the people you're playing are playing black, and opted instead to only mention things that actually give "can't be blocked" full stop.

I suppose a way around that is Mogis's Marauder main, Glaring Spotlight side against black decks? or just Glaring Spotlight main would work too
