Jhoira or Nin?
Deck Help forum

I'm unsure of how much help Jhoira of the Ghitu is as my commander... I'm thinking about going back to Nin, the Pain Artist .
What do you think? My deck is Combo Crazy Commander.
Should I let Jhoira continue to slowly set myself up, or do I reinstate Nin for her effective card draw?
and people hate jhoira players tbh, they are gonna be dropping huge eldrazi asap and lets be honest, people hate that lol. Nin is more original in my experience too so enjoy that as well. If you want card draw the new niv, Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius is awesome as he aint broke like the original and he draws cards nicely without killing your stuff as nin might do and he gets better as the game goes on, and he can be used to general kill late game. Hes expensive but cool, depends how competetive you wana be

I feel like using either Niv-Mizzet as general would be a rough choice, as it would take a while to start to use their effects. Granted, with Firemind, I always have access to a combo piece; and with Dracogenius, I have access to a decent draw engine, but with their cost it would give my opponents plenty of time to react before they could do anything.Also, I feel like Nin could do both of those and work around as slight removal and provide some politics.

If you choose to use Nin you should think about the combo pieces with her.
I think I included them all in my deck Nin's torture chamber if you want to get some ideas how Nin can be abused.
In a combo deck I would prefer Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius above Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind because you can draw way more cards and because of this you get to your combos more easily. And if you're worried about the mana there are more then enough infinite mana combos in your color identity.
Some examples:
Rings of Brighthearth + Grim Monolith / Basalt Monolith Deadeye Navigator + Palinchron / (any other creature that untaps enough lands when it comes into play)
If you're worried about the high mana costs of Niv-Mizzet just use some hard ramp artifacts like Thran Dynamo , Gilded Lotus , Grim Monolith , Basalt Monolith , Mana Vault , Darksteel Ingot , Sol Ring . Coalition Relic
I use all of them in my Mayael commander Mayael's Call and they work pretty well to get me the mana I need. Even if 3 of those don't untap normally they can be worth it with Niv-Mizzet to get him out earlyer in game or faster after he was destroyed by one of your opponents. And later on if you've got mana left you can still untap them.

@MartialArt
Did you take a look at my deck? It's not built around the actual commander; more so, they're to assist me in hitting one of the many other combos that I have in my deck. Although Nin is a combo piece if I hit off one of the many inf. mana combos.

@Exzist:
I looked at your deck.
I just wanted to show you the combos I found so you can add more combos if you use Nin.

Nin, the Pain Artist seems better as the general, with the combos in the deck - drawing into them is probably where you want to be, especially with cards like Keiga, the Tide Star which gain even more value if you chose to kill it as appose to just ping it.
