Deck Help forum

What would be the best format to make a mill deck? Preferably a viable format where I could survive long enough to complete the process. Most of all I'd like to not have to break the bank.

Thoughts?

Casual.

Really, though. Mill isn't a hugely competitive strategy.

I'll agree on Hedron mill being a casual strategy, but mill actually has been used for competitive decks. In the last standard UB control would use Nephalia Drownyard and turbo fog would often force their opponent to draw their deck.

i find hedron crabs to be a decent enough way to mill because your only doing what you would to play the game, but you need to keep the land flow constant and also you mustn't rely only on them. i use them personally in self-mill rather than regular mill.

Use Hedron Crab to self mill and set up Dredge and/or Vengevine . It is pretty decent for Modern.

Mill is not a competitive strategy. You can have mill elements, like Nephalia Drownyard , but relying on it is not the way to go.

But, if you really want to use Hedron Crab , play a bunch of fetchlands.

here is my mill deck, deck:ub-kill-and-mill, like they said earlier it is mostly casual, but it can occasionally get some wins against competitive decks.
