Karametra's Acolyte vs Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

If I am running a mono-green devotion deck, would it be better to have 2x Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and 2x Karametra's Acolyte or a larger or smaller number of Karametra's Acolyte ?

TitansFTW already said what I was going to say, so I'll refer to the question a bit.
Anyway, it depends on the rest of the deck. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Karametra's Acolyte are radically different (one being a creature, the other a land). You may get a more helpful response if you post your deck or add more context to your question, such as why you feel torn between the two.

You have to go through a screening page to ask a rules question. That page directs you to the Deck Help forum if you have a deck help question. Please follow the directions next time.

Being mono green, the Acolyte should do fine. I just think that being a creature, it is a bit more propense to be targeted by some enemy spell. I play with four of them in a deck and it gives plenty of mana for anything you want to cast or play.

Pros for Acolyte:
It's not legendary, so you can play multiples
It adds to it's own devotion
You could use it to block
Cons for Acolyte:
At four mana, it's expensive to play your first one
As ralphsv said, it's easy to destroy or counter
You have to wait a turn to use it
Pros for Nykthos:
It can't be countered
You can use it right away
You can play it from your opening hand
If you have another in your hand, you can tap it for mana, play the next one, and then tap it for mana too
Cons for Nykthos
It's legendary
You probably don't want to run four of them, so chances of drawing it are lower
In most decks Nykthos would be my choice.

The Q&A is for rules related questions only. Epochalyptik should be here soon to move this to the deck help forum.
