I'm still trying to figure out a near-creatureless deck to build for standard... as best as i've got i'm thinking of keyrunes, i could fit 20 into one deck, which would fix my mana, and allow me to cast a wide array of spells from each colour also allowing me some form of offence while still running as many boardwipes as i see fit (that don't kill artifacts), along with a few control spells to compliment them. does the idea seem like a good one? if you have any better ones feel free to make a suggestion
Me and my friend made keyrune decks last night after fnm. I thought it was original DX Oh well. The premise is great but im confident that you can't top 8 with one. Still..... it's funny as hell.

well the logic is that board-sweepers won't destroy them (Planar Cleansing excluded) so basically you stuff the deck with as many board-sweepers as you want. then watch the opponent get ticked off everytime you cast a non-keyrune spell

lol No, probably not, but it's honestly not too bad. It'd be worth making just for the lols.

I actually saw a 5 color keyrune deck last night at FNM. It was doing pretty well, but the store I was playing at has a pretty casual metagame, so take it for what it's worth. Homicidal Seclusion seemed to be a key card (hur hur, unintentional pun) becuase you can get the bonus on attack, then activate a second keyrune to block their counterattack. Almost like having a creature with vigilance and lifelink.

great idea, and the fact that the keyrunes ramp make the card more appealing
