Turn / Burn , Rapid Hybridization , or Lightning Strike ?

I've found myself wanting a definite answer to anything that is out of Magma Jet 's reach and Lightning Strike just isn't doing it. The only other cards I know about that seems like it'd be able to deal with almost anything in my colors is Turn / Burn or Rapid Hybridization . The only problem is the 5 mana cost for casting both halves of Turn / Burn but in a pinch I could turn their attacking creature and block with an Omenspeaker . Rapid Hybridization is similar and I have AEtherize and Simic Charm which could return the token to hand which would simply kill it. Honestly not sure which card to go with at this point so insight would be awesome.

If I subbed it in I'd probably take out all 3 Lightning Strike and 1 Thoughtflare and add in 3 Turn / Burn and 1 Island or some other mana to bump up the amount of mana I've got available to me

OR

Take out 3 Lightning Strike and sub in 3 Rapid Hybridization and leave my mana base alone.

I like Turn / Burn for your list. Yes, it's expensive to outright kill something, but it's also versatile. If you need the 2 mana kill against aggro it's there, or you can Turn and block as you mentioned.

Rapid Hybridization really only works when you're generating enough blockers to somewhat mitigate it, like the MUD deck. Depending on AEtherize and Simic Charm to 2 for 1 yourself isn't really ideal, and certainly less efficient than paying a potential 5 to kill. Paying more mana is pretty much always preferable to paying more cards.

Thanks Slycne unfortunately I can much more easily get my hands on Rapid Hybridization than Turn / Burn so I'll start play-testing with that first. I do agree with you however that Turn / Burn is much more versatile (the 2 mana burn for aggro and the 3 mana turn when I have Omenspeaker to block with)
