Landwalk viability?

Since shocklands count as basic land types, is landwalk viable? Currently, the following cards provide some type of landwalk:

Farbog Explorer

Sewer Shambler

Somberwald Dryad

Harbor Serpent

Volcanic Strength

There's also Stormtide Leviathan and Master of the Pearl Trident , but I think those are even less viable. Although, it would be funny for a control deck to pull off Leviathan as a finisher.

I'd say it does.

A Steam Vents , for example, counts as both an island and a mountain. This makes the player controlling it viable to Mountainwalk and Islandwalk.

Eh, probably not.

The biggest issues in my mind are the creature quality and risk removal. While a 2/2 for 2 CMC with an occasional upside like Somberwald Dryad is certainly playable in a limited format, there's much stronger cards to run in constructed. If you're playing against deck constantly dropping shocklands then you're going to want more bang out of your cards than maybe unblockable.

The other is removal. To exploit landwalk/unblockable you generally want to use cards to make it that one creature stronger, but landwalk doesn't protect itself. So you're back in the classic 2 for 1 scenario. Where as Invisible Stalker and Tormented Soul give you the same effect but either cheaper or with hexproof. Likewise, cards like Knight of Glory and Knight of Infamy are strong drops that will occasionally become blowout beaters for you.
