Legacy Tourney tomorrow... Please Help!

Deck Help forum

It's been awhile since I've had the opportunity to play competive Legacy; I'm stoked.

The LGS I'm going to is known for Spikes and high dollar net decks, so I can expect to see recent Top 8 lists. That being said, I need help, with limited time and resources (I.e. cash), on the sideboard in particular.

I'll be running Mono Green 12 Post as I have a toolbox:

Don't have Karakas ... I'm most leary about TES/ANT as I don't have much to deal with it. Show&Tell will be interesting w/o Karakas , but I have my own beasties to toss down. Jund will suck due to the hand disruption, and well it's a freaking Jund beast. Death & Taxes may be tough due to their toolbox.

In any case, help and low cost suggestions are definitely wanted and welcome!!!

Add Ashen Rider to your sideboard to deal with Show and Tell

Also, do you think adding Dark Depths is worth it? You have crop rotation and Thespian's stage already...

I'd rather drop my own Prime Time, tutoring up tool box lands, or Eldrazi. If they cast S&T turn 3, they'll have four permanents. Attack with Eldrazi...

I do like Ashen Rider and I plan on picking up several for my RDW sideboard.

Dark Depths is an interesting thought. Expensive card, but worth consideration.

Storm/AnT is my weakest matchup, I think. It's a fast deck in the right hands and Glacial Chasm does nothing. Is there anything cheap, meaning like $1.50 or so a card, I can use against it?

Leyline of Sanctity is the first thing that comes to mind. It's expensive, so a budget alternative would be Witchbane Orb , which I feel is much too slow. With your ramp, though, it might make sense.

...so I tested your deck (goldfish) and I managed to get 4 colorless on turn 3 each time for Witchbane Orb . That might not be enough to beat AnT, but it's worth a shot at 68 cents a piece.
