Lifegain BWG Brew. Ideas?

Deck Help forum

So, ever since I've seen Archangel of Thune I've wanted to make a deck around this card. Both because its art looks awesome, and the card's cool effect / stats. I was tooling around the deck builder, various websites, etc. when I saw a list for an aristocrats deck. That got me inspired.

What if I made an aristocrat deck with the Archangel? As I did more research and practice tests / hand draws, I have steered the deck less towards aristocrat fodder and more towards a midrange life gain deck, powering up through life gain. Needless to say there is still the heavy Aristocrat influence as shown by Cartel Aristocrat , Varolz, the Scar-Striped , and Precinct Captain .

However the main goal is still consistent lifegain through Scavenging Ooze (he's a boss), Tithe Drinker (unconventional but it is an almost guaranteed source of lifegain), and using Unflinching Courage to full effect on my strong protected / regeneration creatures.

Here's my deck! Life and Death BWG - Thune Lifegain. More info and sideboard options are located in the deck description. Hope you guys enjoy and any help / discussion would be appreciated. =)

I am working on a version of this myself, good to see somebody else going for it too, plus if you hadn't noticed, Lotleth Troll and Scavenging Ooze work great together

Yeah, I definitely know about those two. My main deck right now is a Golgari deck in which I run 3 of each of those. The troll is a great card, however he does not give any additional momentum to the deck whenever I play him. He potentially delays other cards that are more crucial. Whereas in my Golgari deck he helps in the two key ways of dumping stuff into my graveyard, and being a fantastic target to put counters on due to regenerate. Also Corpsejack Menace .
I appreciate the suggestion though!
