Lord Windgrace trouble figuring out how to build

Deck Help forum

So I have a Lord Windgrace deck which i started "upgrading" ages ago. But I couldnt really figure what I'd end up doing with the deck so it went from a landfall to a mass land destruction to a big creatures deck. Now im kinda stuck with it and even though i'd like to play it i dont really enjoy it anymore because it feels really unfocused.

So my question would be, how do i win with a land-focused deck?

(And optionally: how could i achieve that with the cards that i already have?)

My own Lord Windgrace deck is a sort of toolbox, so it has a lot of interactions and synergies based around how effective and efficient my lands can be. Primarily I win through swinging with a bunch of creatures after dropping Craterhoof Behemoth, or occasionally ramping out everything and Exsanguinate the table. Shameless self promotion below:

Being land-focused is kind of a means to an ends nowadays...espeically since Windgrace is more of a card advantage engine, something that allows your build added resiliency and ensures you never run out of fuel, than a guide for how to build a land-based deck any certain way.

You can focus on landfall triggers. My own landfall deck does this...my Omnath, Locus of Rage ramps into a single explosive turn and drowns opponents in attack damage and death triggers. Windgrace's ability to smooth draws and get the 'right half' of your deck is where he shines here.

You can focus on sacrifice triggers. Korvold, Fae-Cursed King is kind of your inspiration here. You gain benefits from sacrificing lands for benefit and then re-buy them with Windgrace, keeping the engine running. Windgrace is also pretty good at a reanimation subtheme with this.

You can focus on land destruction, knowing you can rebuild from it super easily. Both halves of Windgrace are important here, drawing into removal to keep up pressure and re-buying your own destroyed lands so you can keep going. This is likely to draw hate, but some people are fine with that.

But any way, I would encourage focus. Just do whatever interests you most. I have built and broken many decks simply because a strategy, though good, just doesn't jive with me.
