Lotus Cobra in RUG, etc

What are everyone's opinions on the number of fetchlands to run? Anything about other cards is irrelevant, I'm just wondering if people have figured out an "optimized" amount of fetches to abuse the cobras with, in any deck really. The average seems to be 8 that I've noticed but I'm curious as to what people think.

You don't want to be drawing ALL fetches because that is a waste of life and makes getting the cards at the top of your curve harder if the snake gets bolted. I say 6-8 which is 1 in 4 or 1 in 3 lands respectively. It just depends when you're gonna curve out
