So I finally sat down and built my very own edh deck a few days ago. (Usually my edh decks are a group project) Here is the outcome What time is it? Prime Time!. I have found that the current list is very strong against more casual decks in my local league, but when I sit down at a table filled with some of the more cut throat players of the league, it struggles to keep pace. There are two specific decks that have given me trouble over and over, and they are a 5 color goods deck with Child of Alara
as the commander, and a U/B control deck with Oona, Queen of the Fae
deck. The problems I have with the 5 color deck is that his card quality always overpowers me no matter how much card advantage i can get out so I am looking for cards with a very high power level and are resilient. As for the U/B deck, it is tough because he constantly counters my stuff and sweeps the board until he can hit his infinite combo for Palinchron
and Deadeye Navigator
to win the game. I am looking for some way to keep up with him. Any advice you can give me on the deck in general is welcome as well! Also, if you give advice on what to put in, please give some advice as to what you would take out. The current list is very tight and even though you may not know what to cut unless you test, just give me a suggestion to start looking at and I'll test it.
