Meta Choices for Valakut

Deck Help forum

Hey guys. I just recently sleeved up Valakut. I know I know.. I'm now "that guy", but it really is fun to play and there is no doubting its power! haha.

Anyways, I was hoping to get some suggestions of cards that will help me in my meta.

So next week, the "good" decks that I am pretty sure will be there include: 2-3 Valakuts, 1-2 U/W Control, 1 Mono Black Control, maybe a RDW, and a few janky decks. We usually get a turnout of 10-15 people, so it's not too big of a meta to plan for.

Any ideas would be appreciated! Here's the deck I have currently for reference.

You use the slug in the URL.

So you'd put valakut-ramp-22 in between double brackets.

add a swamp and 4 Memoricide in the side board for when you fight the mirror. that junk wins games

Although Memoricide does decide some mirrors, it is NOT good on the draw. As we know Valakut makes turn 4 titan possible and if you don't have the memoricide and the Swamp (or some way to get it) in your hand, you have an opposing tian as you're trying to use black deck manipulation. Doesn't seem good enough. What does work is Act of Aggression , take their titan, get valakut triggers, kill their titan.
