I love playing mill. When I play mill I usually will play u/w. I see a skeleton for it being,

Ponder x 4New Jace x 4Old Jace x 2Visions of Beyond x 4Mana Leak x 4 Day of Judgment x 4 x8 duel landsx4 man landsShould I go Traumatize Keening combo? I'm told I should add green. Opinions?

Based on the cards you mentioned, I assume this is a pre-Innistrad Standard setup?

I don't know what the green would do for you. I guess if you desperately need ramp, it gets there. You could also try U/B, since it offers lots of kill options for board control.

You'll want to find a good way to defend yourself, as well as a way to deal with Eldrazi.

I'm running a mono U mill with new Jace (jace the miller), but will likely go u/b once M11 and Zendikar cycle out.

The Traumatize /Keening Stone combo is way too expensive, taking something like a CMC of 16 to fire off. Traumatize is good enough on its own to include 1 or 2.

Green can help with the Hedron Crab landfall mill, but I ran a pre-M12 version and found it too slow.

Traumatize is okay, but just okay. Think about it - by the time you play it, it will be turn 5, assuming you don't ramp and don't miss a land drop. That means that, if facing a typical 60-card deck, they will be down to 48 or 49 cards, depending on if they went first or second. That means that you pay 5 to mill about 24 cards, and have no open mana afterwards.

I don't see it being worth it. Keening Stone by itself is decent because it's a self-fueling engine and can eat excess mana that wasn't spent on counterspells.

I would go with a card:Jace's Erasure + card:Jace's Archivist combo, with Consecrated Sphinx as a finisher and Haunting Echoes as support. It's much cheaper, and gets started sooner.

the green would definitely be support for the landfall on Hedron Crab . i think you better use Haunting Echoes instead of Traumatize then again if your deck is efficient enough, all you would need is the Keening Stone . by the time that gets in play, more than half your opponents deck should be in the graveyard. Archive Trap vs mana ramping

idve thought going about it the enchantment way was better(card:Jace's Erasure and Memory Erosion ), cause fewer removal spells affect enchantments. im building a legacy one with more emphasis on Circu, Dimir Lobotomist . I was gonna use Tome Scour but then i found Memory Sluice which could be conspired with Grimoire Thief i just need to find better blockers. Belltower Sphinx does the job alright but its pretty costly for something that mainly stands as defence. i would use Platinum Angel but the damned card is a bit easy to destroy. maybe card:Norn's Annex could slow the opponent down, though they'd probably ignore the damage because i dont deal any damage so it wouldnt be as big a threat ...any advice?

use Traumatize and Haunting Echoes . that basically leaves them with only land in their library. i have designed a deck(not posted) that has all the creatures that get shuffled back into your library. i built it on cardstock and tested against a mill deck and won.

Maybe Platinum Emperion to protect yourself instead of Platinum Angel ? Much harder to remove.

i was gonna use the Platinum Angel with Soul Conduit as a fallback strategy. but perhaps the Soul Conduit alone can take care of me if the going gets tough. the Platinum Emperion definitely is a better plan

I just realised my negligence... with the number of times a player shuffles his library because of fetch-lands perhaps Psychic Surgery would have a place in a mill sideboard. with more specific card removal.

howabout cards like Sheoldred, Whispering One and Wrexial, the Risen Deep . is it worth the extra mana to recycle the opponents graveyard?.
