this is a question for people with mill decks. eversince i have heard of a mill deck i have wanted one. but i do not know how to runone. like should i land lock you so i can mill, should i just flat out mill hard, or mill caounter
oh.. I know nothing about standard :P. Jace is standard and that other plainswalker guy thats blue black. And Consuming Aberration is still in standard and Tome Scour . Wight of Precinct Six is standard as well. Maybe you should go midrange/control with aberration och precinct six to benefit from your mill?

no, mill decks are fun, back when i started playing my Jace's Erasure deck was awsome, paired with my playset of Consecrated Sphinx i could usually mill my opponent out

Personally treated mill as a win-con in my old control deck... not the basis of the deck, Nephalia Drownyard was awesome/loathesome...
In casual, i treat it as a means to an end... edh commander Wrexial, the Risen Deep packing things like Diluvian Primordial , Sepulchral Primordial and Gruesome Encore to support the theme...
Havent done a mill themed deck in a long time though...

try blue devotion with 4x each of Psychic Strike , Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , Mind Grind , and Jace, Memory Adept . I'm Running 4x each Judge's Familiar , Tidebinder Mage , Frostburn Weird , Nightveil Specter and Master of Waves . The B/U shock land and scry lands are all the B mana you need.
Lastnight, using Nykthos, I was able to mind Grind for 14 lands on turn 5...

If you want to win by mill i think all out mill with stuff like Glimpse the Unthinkable, Mind Funeral and Jace, Memory Adept is the way to go. Run 4x Jace's Phantasm and 2x Consuming Aberration as creatures and just a couple of counters. Archive Trap with stuff like Ghost Quarters or Path to Exile to make your opponent search their library are also pretty fun (mill 52 cards turn one. Possible, but not likely :)
There is also a couple of mill combos. For example Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank or Painter's Servant + Grindstone.
