Modern Meta and How Do I Prepare for It?

Firstly, I am not %100 sure this is where I should be posting this, so hopefully Epochalyptik can move it if he has to.
I'm participating in my first modern tournament at the end of the month, I will be bringing an Infect deck heavily based on $5 Infect.
What type of decks are out there in general, and what would I have to look out for, that could stop this type of deck?
Finally, how could I prepare for these decks, so they don't stop mine in its tracks?
I love playing against infect because it increases my ability to use life as a resource. You can't worry too much about other decks when you play infect. You're strategy never changes much.
You should add:
Rancor for trample
Inkmoth Nexus because it dodges non-instant removal

Wnorris17 is right. Infect isn't really a react deck. I think the best thing for you to do is know what early game removal is in modern, because one drop removal is what really messes up infect.

Understood. Thanks, so far the hardest thing for me to get would be the Inkmoth Nexus s. Just one more question though, when the nexus becomes a land again, doesn't Rancor fall off?

Sorry to burst the bubble, but Rancor falls off when Inkmoth Nexus stops being a creature.
702.5a Enchant is a static ability, written "Enchant [object or player]." The enchant ability restricts what an Aura spell can target and what an Aura can enchant.
702.5b For more information on Auras, see rule 303, "Enchantments."
303.4c If an Aura is enchanting an illegal object or player as defined by its enchant ability and other applicable effects, the object it was attached to no longer exists, or the player it was attached to has left the game, the Aura is put into its owners graveyard. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)

Aaaaaw. I guess I should have seen that coming though, I also think I saw it somewhere on another site with a similar discussion. Oh well, Rancor only costs G.

Oh thanks I didn't know that. I thought it was similar to +1/+1 counters (those stay on, right? RIGHT??!?)

Equipments fall off too, but yes, +1/+1 counters stay on the card. They just have no effect while it's not a creature.
Anyways, it needs an extra buff if trample on a nexus is supposed to make sense. It's more common to attack blank and buff with an instant like Giant Growth , Colossal Might or Selesnya Charm .

I know rancor falls off nexus, but it is still amazing on all of your vanillas due to trample.

In the current metagame, you have to expect to face a lot of Melira Pod, RUG Twin, Affinity, Storm, and UWR Control.

You might also want to consider your matchups against BG Rock, Bogles, Living End, and Merfolk.
